Chemical Octopamine

Name Octopamine
CAS Type 1 Name Benzenemethanol, alpha-(aminomethyl)-4-hydroxy-
Equivalent Terms 4-Octopamine | alpha-(Aminoethyl)-4-hydroxybenzenemethanol | Norsympatol | Norsynephrine | para-Octopamine | p-Octopamine
CAS Registry Number 104-14-3
Definition An alpha-adrenergic sympathomimetic amine, biosynthesized from tyramine in the CNS and platelets and also in invertebrate nervous systems.
