Overview

The MyVenn tool allows you to generate a Venn diagram to view relationships among your lists of CTD chemicals, diseases, genes, GO terms, or pathways, or any other data.

Select your input type

Chemical inputs

Select this option to compare data sets of chemicals that you specify in Step 2. You may specify chemicals by MeSH® name, synonym, or accession ID (“MESH:…”), or by CAS RN. To limit your search to official names, use the “name:” prefix.

Disease inputs

Select this option to compare data sets of diseases that you specify in Step 2. You may specify diseases by MeSH or OMIM name, synonym, or accession ID (“MESH:…” or “OMIM:…”). To limit your search to official names, use the “name:” prefix.

Gene inputs

Select this option to compare data sets of genes that you specify in Step 2. You may specify genes by NCBI symbols (“name:…”) or accession IDs (“GENE:…”).

Gene Ontology inputs

Select this option to compare data sets of GO terms that you specify in Step 2. You may specify GO terms by name, synonym, or ID (e.g., “GO:0008219” or “8219”).

Pathway inputs

Select this option to compare data sets of pathways that you specify in Step 2. You may specify pathways by KEGG or REACTOME name or accession ID (“KEGG:…” or “REACT:…”).

Other inputs

Select this option to compare sets of any types of data. The tool will not validate the input items against data in CTD. It converts the input items to lower-case and compares them in a case-insensitive manner. Duplicate items in a data set are removed.

Enter your data sets

Enter or paste the names or accession IDs (see above) for two or three data sets of CTD chemicals, diseases, genes, GO terms, or pathways.

You may separate terms by returns, tabs, or vertical bars (|).

You may also specify the name with which each set will be labelled in the Venn diagram. Names are limited to 200 characters.
